Abstract

|
목적: 본 연구의 목적은 간호학생의 환자중심간호 인식, 공감능력, 긍정심리자본을 확인하고 환자중심간호 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위함이다. 또한 매개효과 모델을 사용하여 공감능력과 환자중심간호 인식 간의 관계에서 긍정심리자본의 매개효과를 확인하였다.
방법: 본 연구는 7개 대학의 간호학과 학생 338명을 대상으로 하였으며, 대상자의 환자중심간호 인식은 PPOS (Patient Practitioner Orientation Scale)를 사용하여 측정되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS프로그램을 사용하여 independent t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, mediation model로 분석하였다.
결과: 환자중심간호 인식은 3.82±0.43점이었으며, 하위영역인 돌봄인식은 3.95±0.68점, 공유인식은 3.69±0.50점이었다. 간호학 전공만족도, 실습만족도, 간호학 선택 동기는 '돌봄인식'과 유의한 관련이 있었지만, '공유인식'과는 유의하지 않았다. 긍정심리자본은 환자중심간호 인식에서의 돌봄인식(β=.240, p<.001)과 공유인식(β=.182, p=.002) 모두에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 공감능력은 돌봄인식(β=.120, p=.087)과 공유인식(β=.006, p=.931)에 유의하지 않게 나타났다. 긍정심리자본(β=.198, p=.004)은 돌봄인식과 공감능력에 유의한 상관관계를 보였으나, 공유인식에서는 (β=.066, p=.366) 유의한 상관관계를 보이지 않았다.
결론: 본 연구결과 간호학생의 환자중심간호 인식이 상대적으로 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 간호대학에서 체계적인 환자중심간호 교육 프로그램이 아직은 미흡하다는 점을 고려할 때 환자중심간호에 대한 인식과 더불어 환자를 위한 개별적 돌봄을 향상시키기 위해 간호학 전공과 실습에서 관련 내용을 체계적으로 교육하여야 하며 공감능력, 긍정심리자본의 강화와 더불어 간호학 전공에 대한 만족도를 높일 수 있는 전략도 고려되어야 한다. 또한 환자 및 가족돌봄자와 건강관련 정보를 함께 하고 이들을 참여하도록 촉진하는 공유의 개념에 대한 중요성도 간호교육에 반영되어야 할 것이다.

Purpose: This study aims to determine nursing students’ orientation toward patient-centered care (PCC) and identify its influencing factors: their personality traits, empathy, and psychological capital (PsyCap). A mediating model was used to test the role of PsyCap in the association between empathy and PCC.
Methods: This cross-sectional study included 338 nursing students from seven universities in South Korea. Their orientation toward PCC was measured using the Patient?Practitioner Orientation Scale (PPOS). Moreover, we analyzed the data using independent t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson’s r, and SPSS PROCESS macro.
Results: The overall mean score on the PPOS was 3.82±0.43, with the Caring and Sharing subscales accounting for 3.95±0.68 and 3.69±0.50, respectively. Nursing students’ satisfaction with their majors, practicums, and motivation for choosing this profession was significantly related to Caring?not Sharing. Nevertheless, PsyCap positively influenced both Caring (β=.240, p<.001) and Sharing (β = .182, p=.002). While empathy failed to significantly impact both Caring (β = .120, p=.087) and Sharing (β=.006, p=.931). PsyCap mediated the association of empathy with Caring (β=.198, p=.004); however, the same was not true for Sharing (β=.066, p=.366).
Conclusion: The findings indicate that the orientation of Korean nursing students toward PCC is not high. Therefore, to improve the PPOS Caring subscale, nurse educators should formulate better strategies to enhance nursing students’ satisfaction with their major and practicums, empathy, and PsyCap. The importance of sharing health-related information with patients and family caregivers should be emphasized in the nursing curriculum.
